We are extremely excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual Suzanne Neville Designer Day January 21st & 22nd 2017. While our designer day is in its 6th year this year, wedding dress designer Suzanne Neville celebrates 25 years.

We will showcase her 25th Anniversary Portrait Collection 2017 in store.

Her Portrait collection has over 40 incredible dresses, a distinct mix of fabrics, styles and silhouettes. This breath taking collection is as diverse and it is unique.

This is an exclusive event and we are honoured that Suzanne Neville herself will be visiting us here at Kadee bride Athlone for the event. It is fantastic opportunity to ‘meet the designer’ on a one to one basis offering our brides her expert opinion and advice on finding that perfect dress. Suzanne will also be there to suggest personal modifications to any of her beautiful gowns to ensure your dream dress meets all your requirements and she will sketch your dress right there and then for you – a truly special gift.

A day of fashion and style for Athlone

Athlone Fashion Trail is a day of runway style fashion shows hosted in store by Athlone’s top boutiques. Each retailer will style & present their own fashion show at their store throughout the day.

What is a Trunk Show?  Newly engaged and not up on bridal lingo? Read on…

A trunk show is an opportunity for local independent bridal stores (like ourselves at Kadee Bride Athlone) to introduce brides-to-be to designer gowns they otherwise might not carry in store. Bridal trunk shows are only a few days long and by appointment only, trunk shows offer brides a chance to order straight-off-the-runway styles and also a selection of gowns from previous collections.

Shopping for your wedding dress is a happy and exciting time and attending a favourite designer’s trunk show maximizes your chance of finding the dress of your dreams. Wondering how? We’ve got answers to all your questions.

Why attend a trunk show?

Most bridal stores usually only carry a handful of designs by a specific designer; at a trunk show, you’ll have a chance to browse all the looks of your favourite designer—sometimes even before they’re available in the stores.

When and where are they held?

Usually trunk shows are held in the bridal store throughout the year. Trunk shows are planned well in advance, so stores should be able to give you a list of dates, call the bridal stores to check it out. The shows last from one to three days, and appointments book up quickly. Call early!

What else do I need to know?

Understand that a trunk show is not technically a sale. The dresses are not marked as discounted. But, most trunk shows do offer great incentives for placing your order on the spot. This relatively small savings could make a big difference if you’re working with a tight budget.

Kadee Bride Trunk Show Tips

• Research research and research your favourite designers and only attend their trunk shows. Make sure their styles appeal to you and fall within your budget.
• Trunk shows are by appointment only and fill up fast. So don’t wait to reserve your slot (and if you can’t keep the appointment, please be courteous and call to cancel.)

• Bring one or two people with you whom you trust and who know you well. Resist the urge to have a larger entourage accompany you—too many opinions can get confusing and stressful. Remember this is an enjoyable experience.

• Come ready to make a decision, because the designer & bridal store incentives and store discount will just be available during the trunk show
• Most importantly enjoy!
